Connected Accounts
Read-only connections, planned — and honestly labelled.
Connected Accounts depends on a provider agreement and the applicable regulatory permissions. Neither exists yet, so everything on this page describes a design, not a service.
Planned
How a connection would work
You choose to connect
A connection starts with you, in the app. Nothing is pre-selected and nothing connects silently.
You consent, specifically
The consent names what would be read — balances and holdings — and how long access lasts. Withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.
A regulated provider connects
The connection would run through an FCA-authorised Open Banking provider, under their security model. NeoInvest never sees your bank credentials.
Read-only retrieval
Balances and holdings are read. Nothing can be moved, sold, bought or instructed through the connection — it has no write path.
Normalisation
Retrieved holdings are mapped to the same portfolio model manual entries use, with the same currency and wrapper context.
Refresh, revoke, delete
Each holding shows when it was last refreshed. Revoking the connection stops retrieval; deletion removes the retrieved data.
What it will not do
- Move, transfer or withdraw money — the connection is read-only by design.
- Execute trades or instruct anything at your bank or broker.
- See or store your bank credentials — authentication happens with the provider.
- Sell or share retrieved data. It exists to compute your own analytics, nothing else.
- Be a condition of using the product. Manual entry and the planned CSV import remain permanent alternatives.
What it waits on
An executed agreement with an FCA-authorised Open Banking provider, and confirmation of the regulatory permissions applicable to the arrangement. No provider is named here because none is contracted, and no regulatory status is claimed because none exists. Until both are real, holdings get in the way they do today: manual entry, with a supported CSV import planned.
